Stecla Engenharia is taking part in the retrofit of the Salomão Guelmann Brazilian Israelite School (EIBSG), located in the Civic Center district of Curitiba. The purpose of the intervention is to update and modernize the institution's environments, while preserving the original architectural features of the building, which was designed in 1969 by the renowned architect Jaime Lerner, who throughout his life also served as mayor of Curitiba and governor of Paraná.

The main aim of this modernization is to adapt the school to contemporary pedagogical needs and guarantee a higher level of comfort for the students, parents and staff who attend the school. To date, three different phases of this project have been managed, which have resulted in the renovation of around 910 square meters of school space.

The interventions carried out during these phases took place exclusively during school recess periods, ensuring that there were no interruptions to regular academic activities. Each of these stages was short, totaling approximately 70 working days. In the meantime, several essential spaces were renovated, such as classrooms, bathrooms, the library, the teachers' room and the solarium.

For the full completion of the Retrofit project, around five additional phases are planned. These future phases will involve the renovation of approximately 1,500 square meters, as well as a significant extension of 300 square meters on the first floor of the school. The entire project is expected to be completed by mid-2027, providing a modernized and even more functional educational environment for the academic community.
