Purpose that spans generations

By Anna Sens

When civil engineer Stefan Wajdowicz decided to open a consultancy specializing in project and construction management in 1998, his goal was to drive developments forward by being the eyes and ears of owners on ambitious and innovative projects. With this in mind, he knew he needed to create a unique brand for his own project.

It was during one of the many enriching conversations with his father-in-law, also an engineer, Claudio Cesar Pereira da Silva, that the idea was born: to combine Stefan's own name with that of his son, Claudio Wajdowicz, then nine years old, to create the company's name. Stecla was the result of this syllable engineering, as well as a prophecy that little Claudio would also become an engineer.

Today, father and son are partners, alongside Marcos Furukawa and Erasmo dos Anjos. The quartet complements each other in age, experience, determination and loyalty, each with an assertive and humane approach to engineering. With more than 25 years on the road, Stecla Engenharia is today a benchmark in industrial works consultancy in various sectors and operates nationwide.

The company translates the technical world of engineering into the corporate world, advising the owner on what is best for their project and how they can win good contracts, avoid disputes, make the best choices and get the contract right. Present throughout the life cycle of a project, Stecla works in different spheres of business to make entrepreneurs' dreams come true.

Since 2018, Claudio Wajdowicz has taken over the company's management, continuing the dream that his father had at the beginning: to boost enterprises. As well as expanding Stecla's areas of operation, he has also invested in a strategy that includes wellness training for employees.

The Human Gaze

Stecla Engenharia has a strong commitment to the well-being of its employees. The company strives to boost emotional intelligence in the workplace, through assertive communication projects, stress management, encouraging physical exercise and therapy, in the search for a balance between personal and professional life. It is also committed to encouraging female leadership and fighting ageism, as it believes that connecting people, generations and values is the greatest wealth to be shared.

The results of this investment are tangible: as well as tripling the number of employees and receiving positive feedback from customers, the company has been awarded the Great Place To Work seal, establishing itself as a business of excellence and an example for the whole of Brazil.
